In the context of its Indigenous workforce capacity development model, the Indigenous Certification Board of Canada (ICBOC) accredits education/training programs through a rigorous evaluation process to ensure Indigenous learners have access to culturally competent and safe programs that meet the Board’s professional certification standards and requirements. TeKnoWave’s vision and its longstanding commitment toward the advancement of Indigenous education and employment is fully endorsed by ICBOC.
TeKnoWave is one of the rare educational institutions in Canada who has embedded the concepts and principles of Indigenous wholistic education in the conceptualisation, development, content, delivery and evaluation of a program aimed at future workers in the community services sector.
Graduates of the Indigenous Community Service Worker Diploma Program will obtain professional certification and use this national credential to towards employment in a range of Indigenous occupations in the helping field.
